Infant Team

The Infant Team is here to assist you and your family in the care and development of your child. Your child has been referred to this program because he/she may face challenges in the development of movement, play and self-help or communication.

An assessment usually takes place in your home, where you and your child are most comfortable. This first visit is a “get to know you visit”, for you to become familiar with your therapists and discuss specific concerns.

Once the assessment is completed, your therapists will meet with other members of our team regarding the needs and any specific concerns you identified. You will then receive copies of our reports as will others in the community (physicians, Public Health nurse, community agencies whom you have identified and given us permission to share health information)

Therapy frequency will be determined by your child’s needs, our shared goals and by what works for you.
