Speech Therapy
The preschool speech and language program provides information, assessments and a range of treatment services for children from birth to beginning grade one at the centre and in the community. Therapists work closely with families, child care, Ontario Early Years Centres and JK/SK teachers to provide education and suggestions for helping children develop speech and language skills.
Children will learn a variety of communication skills such as making sounds correctly, developing their vocabulary, understanding questions and putting words into sentences. This may also involve sign language, auditory verbal therapy and picture boards depending on need.
